683 Albert Henry Fullwood (1863-1930) WESTMINSTER ABBEY signed and dated 09, pencil and watercolour heightened with white, 24.5 x 34.5cm The Australian painter, etcher and illustrator A H Fullwood was born in Birmingham and emigrated in 1881. By 1892, two of his watercolours had been early purchases by the National Gallery of Australia. He soon became an influential figure in the artistic life of Sydney and travelled widely. His work was exhibited in America and Europe. He lived in London for the first few years of the new century (when the present and following lot were painted) and exhibited regularly at the Royal Academy. He served in the Australian forces during World War One and was appointed an official Australian War Artist. He returned to Australia after the War and lived in Sydney for the last ten years of his life (Source: Dictionary of Australian Biography). £350-450
