A George III giltwood mirror, the pierced rococo frame surrounded by 'C' and 'S' scrolls, the sides draped with fruit and leaves beneath a crest, the apron conforming, 116 x 60cm £2000-3000 The plate a 19th c replacement, the frame in good condition with small losses. Extensive areas of loss of the original gilding and later Victorian gilding as a consequence of damp but in structural good condition

914 A Regency giltwood overmantel mirror, the ribbon-and-reed cavetto cornice with row of spheres, the gilt frieze painted en grisaille with Apollo and the nine muses on clouds, the plate between leaf fringed pilasters, on moulded base, 156 x 156cm, early 19th c £2000-3000 The plate almost certainly original and in a fine state of preservation. The frieze panel slightly warped with a split developing from each end. On the reverse two narrow strips of wood applied in the late 19th or early 20th c in an attempt to stabilise this. The gilding original but worn in places. Entirely free from any redecoration or restoration

916 A set of fourteen George III mahogany dining chairs, the moulded rectangular back with four conforming stick splats, on square tapered legs with spade feet, upholstered in near contemporary close nailed horsehair, 87cm h, early 19th c £2000-3000 Some old worm damage noticeable on the back rail of a number of the chairs in the set. All but one of the chairs with added (probably in the 19th c) with supplementary bracing blocks to the seat frame. One chair with old replacement back rail; one chair with metal bracing repair to one of the back legs, another chair with split back leg tied together with string at the top, on chair with old spliced repair and angle iron brackets to one of the back legs but a set of good quality mahogany in well preserved attractively dry condition

919 A Regency green painted chest of drawers, with black 'stringing' and knobs to the two short and four long graduated drawers, on bracket feet, 139cm h; 107 x 52cm, early 19th c £200-300 Lacking the side mouldings from the top and also part of the front right foot, the drawers retaining the original locks except the uppermost of the long drawers where it is lacking. Several shrinkage cracks in the sides, the paint on the top stained and rubbed in places and with the odd ring mark. The printed auctioneer's lot label of early 20th c date remaining on the front. Entirely free from any repainting or restoration

932 A Victorian mahogany desk, the rectangular inlet top with ovolo lip and fitted eleven moulded drawers all retaining the original J Bramah lock, the pedestals panelled, 75cm h; 137 x 76cm £1000-1500 A good example in fine original condition, the top slightly sun faded, minor vertical shrinkage cracks in the sides of the pedestals, the turned knob handles original and all complete although one is chipped. A good example free from restoration
